We are all living our busy lives tryin’ hard to get by. On Monday we talked about “Counting It All Joy!” So tells get into this joy topic a little more. What do you think about when you hear the word joy? If you had of asked me a few years ago, I would have said those overly happy people that are annoyingly happy first thing in the morning. Now I have come to realize that joy is something that is experienced internally that radiates externally. I realized that joy is something that you can not hold back. I have officially turned into one of those annoying people. Now don’t get me wrong, I do experience other emotions but normally my heart is filled with joy.
Joy noun
: a feeling of great happiness: a source or cause of great happiness : something or someone that gives joy to someone: success in doing, finding, or getting something
I have Joy because God’s favor shines upon me. I have joy because not matter how bad a day feels I know it is a good day. I have joy because this life I live is AMAZING! I have joy because I am breathing, reading, and writing with God.
More Joy Praises!
And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord. Psalms 27:6
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5
[ The Joy of Forgiveness ] Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered. Psalm 32:1
Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous; And shout for joy, all you upright in heart! Psalm 32:11
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
Thank you for this day! Thank you for hearing my prayer from on high. Thank you for all of the things I forgot to be joyful about yesterday. I want to focus on more of them today.
Amen
